This project captures attic space to create a new study and workout room with bath and storage. In doing so we were able to open the stair hall continuously from the first floor to the ceiling of the third. A beautiful custom handrail was created wrapping the entire volume with a polished brass cap.
This 1938 home needed an update and the one space that always has the greatest transformation is the kitchen. While we didn't have unlimited space to utilize, we were able to modernize and enlarge to create a light open area that people love to gather. The cabinets were built around an existing window and balanced to minimize the refrigerator on the left of the image.
