DESIGN BRIEF
This project started with an existing Satterwhite log home that had been on the property for a few decades. A windstorm blew the west porch roof off and caused water damage to the interior. The clients wanted to not only repair the damage but update the home with new larger covered porches and renovate the interior for large and small family gatherings.
The new stone and light wood exposed roof structure is offset by the dark stained wood of the existing log home. We pulled the dark color out to the new support beams to tie things together.
