We created a breezeway between the garage and main house as entry for this country home. This was both an aesthetic choice to reduce scale between the two buildings and a functional decision to provide easy covered access for unloading provisions for large family gatherings. The second floor was then used as a small balcony to capture the expansive views to the north.
